Uzbekistan exported gold for over $1bn in Jan-March

In January-March 2020, Uzbekistan exported gold worth $1.005 billion, follows from the data of the State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, the increase compared to January-March 2019 was 1.7 percent. In January-March 2020, the share of gold in the structure of exports amounted to 29.8%.
It should be noted that in recent years, Uzbekistan has increased gold exports. It exceeded $823.9 million in 2015, $738.2 million in 2016, $1.6 billion in 2017, $2.91 billion in 2018 and $4.9 billion in 2019.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan sold $1 billion worth of gold in two months.
