Botir Khodjayev retired as adviser to the PM

Botir Khodjayev was relieved of his post as an adviser to the Prime Minister on the issues of industrial development and cooperation ties.

“In connection with his retirement, dismiss Botir Khodjayev from the post of adviser to the Prime Minister on the issues of industrial development and cooperation ties,” the statement said.

It should be recalled that he was transferred to this position at the end of February this year from the post of Minister of Economy and Industry.

Botir Khodjayev was born in 1956 in Tashkent. In 1979, he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Railway Transport Engineers.

In 2005-2006, he worked as a state adviser to the President on socio-economic issues. In 2006-2009, he was the Minister of Economics.

In 2009-2011, he worked as Deputy PM – Chairman of the State Committee for Architecture and Construction. In 2011-2016, he was the First Deputy Minister of Economy. 

Since 2019, he has been leading the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
