According to Shukhrat Mirsamukov, head of the department for sales development, after-sales service and export of components at Uzavtosanoat, the information that Uzbekistan delivers cars for export at a lower price is unfounded.
A parliamentary hearing was held on March 11 with the participation of representatives from Uzavtosanoat JSC in the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis. During the event, Mirsamukov said that the company does not sell cars at a cheaper price in foreign markets.
“I have data on the current condition of the markets. I will present to you prices in Russia and Kazakhstan, which can also be checked through our official distributors. For example, after raising the prices, the starting cost of a Cobalt car in Uzbekistan reached $10,028. In Russia, the starting price for Cobalt is $10,138, which means it is $110 more expensive.
In Kazakhstan, the same car costs $10,684, which means that the price is $656 higher than in Uzbekistan.
One of the most popular cars is Nexia, which costs $9,101 in Uzbekistan, while in Russia and Kazakhstan – $9,831 and $9,129 respectively.
Spark can be bought for $7,710 in Uzbekistan. It costs $9,831 in Russia and $10,579 in Kazakhstan,” he said.
The representative of Uzavtosanoat JSC also commented on messages and screenshots distributed on social networks, reflecting the fact that cars produced in Uzbekistan are sold much cheaper in Russia and Kazakhstan.
“We examined the messages that spread on the Internet. In particular, we examined the screenshots that were allegedly taken from official sites. This is a marketing strategy of some enterprises, which is called “outbid”. They take cars from our dealers, and to attract people, they announce such “discounts”. When clients come, they either offer a lease or try to sell another car.
These are not our official dealers. In the process of studying, we also saw how people from Russia and Kazakhstan comment on them. They urged others not to trust such enterprises,” said Shukhrat Mirsamukov.
