According to a Kun.uz correspondent, on March 7, Interior Minister Pulat Babajanov held a meeting with the participation of the Kashkadarya police department. During the event, the head of the Chirakchi district department of Internal Affairs, Fazliddin Yusupov, and four of his deputies were dismissed.

Earlier, on January 23, in the Chirakchi district of Kashkadarya region, several police officers beat a 32-year-old man to death. A criminal case was opened against several police officers under Article 206 of the Criminal Code.

On January 30, Kashkadarya Regional Internal Affairs Department held a press conference with the participation of officers of internal affairs bodies. During the press conference, the head of the MIA press service, Shohrukh Giyasov, said that “unfortunately, cases of death in police departments is not news.”

He also said that a corresponding check had begun in the Chirakchi district Internal Affairs Department.

Later it became known that the first deputy head of the Internal Affairs department of Kashkadarya region, Colonel Samad Turdiyev, resigned from office.
