On March 5, 2020, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Vitaliy Fen addressed to all citizens of the country, who are temporarily or permanently residing in the Republic of Korea, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
“I am aware that our citizens are worried about coronavirus, which is now causing problems in South Korea. The Government of the Republic of Korea is making every effort to identify and treat the infected people as soon as possible using modern medical technologies and best practices for combating coronavirus,” the Ambassador said.
Although the number of patients is currently rising, experts from the Government of the Republic of Korea and the medical community believe that the outbreak of the virus will soon be reduced and its risk will be minimized dramatically.
“In this situation, I urge the citizens of Uzbekistan to remain calm and not worry. At the same time, I ask you not to go to crowded places, and strictly follow the recommended precautions to fight this virus.
While the risk of coronavirus threatening human life in the Republic of Korea remains, I call for our citizens not to be confused and adhere to all the aforementioned recommendations.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea operates in the round the clock regime to quickly resolve problems caused by the coronavirus. Therefore, I want you to contact us at any time,” the ambassador’s address reads.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan Airways would organize a charter flight from Seoul and citizens were asked not to meet their relatives upon arrival.
