From the 2020/2021 academic year, a new exam procedure will be introduced for creativity courses at higher education institutions of Uzbekistan. This is stated in the presidential decree “On measures to further develop the field of pedagogical education.”
According to the document, along with professional (creative) exams, tests in three compulsory subjects -- the native language (Uzbek, Russian or Karakalpak languages), mathematics and history of Uzbekistan -- will be introduced for admission in areas of specialization in pedagogical education requiring special skills.
The document notes that the new order is being introduced “considering the importance of general educational subjects in pedagogical activity”.
The document also states the rule “to conduct tests in three compulsory subjects after the announcement of the results of professional (creative) exams.”
