UAE ready to strengthen mutually beneficial ties with Uzbekistan
On February 6, 2020, the Consul General of Uzbekistan Alisher Salomov met with the newly appointed Director of Dubai Office of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation Maktoum Bin Butti Al Maktoum.

During the meeting, the current state of bilateral cooperation and prospects for its development in various fields was discussed.
The parties noted with satisfaction that relations between the two countries have noticeably intensified following President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s official visit to the UAE in March 2019. Currently, documents signed during the visit are being implemented in the economic, investment, social, cultural and other spheres.
The Emirates positively noted that in the address of the President to the parliament, the UAE was named among the key partners of Uzbekistan.
The Emirati side was provided with detailed information about the first Tashkent International Investment Forum planned in March.
Maktoum Bin Butti Al Maktoum highly appreciated the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, the created conditions for UAE citizens, who can visit our country visa-free.
At the end of the meeting, the willingness of the parties to further strengthen mutually beneficial ties and cooperation was confirmed.
