“Applicants will have the opportunity to be admitted to universities without taking tests” – State Testing Center
In Uzbekistan, applicants will be able to enter universities without taking tests, the State Testing Center (STC) reports.

It is noted that starting from this year, another step-by-step change may be introduced – in addition to foreign (English, German, French and Oriental) language exam certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL, CEFR and others, certificates may also be introduced for the Uzbek, Russian languages, mathematics and other general education subjects.
Currently, proposals for this procedure have been submitted. According to the proposals, it is planned to issue the same certificates on all general education subjects in order to simplify the tests, to create convenience and opportunities for applicants.
Applicants will be able to use this opportunity even before graduating from a school or college.
“As it was mentioned in the presidential address, when young people pass exams and obtain a valid certificate at any time, there is no need to retake a subject test when they apply for a university.
This means that an entrant will be able to take part in the direct competition, if he/she receives a certificate on general education subjects required before the entrance exams for undergraduate programs,” the STC said.
Reportedly, the relevant ministries and agencies are currently developing mechanisms to implement this procedure.
