Komil Allamjonov, Saida Mirziyoyeva resign from AIMC leadership

Today, January 29, a meeting was held at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications (AIMC) with the participation of Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov, head of the Presidential Administration.
During the event, it became known that the acting Director of the AIMC Komil Allamjonov and Deputy Director Saida Mirziyoyeva left their posts.
At the meeting, Allamjonov and Mirziyoyeva announced that they had submitted their resignation to Presidential Administration due to plans to continue their work in the non-governmental sector.
In addition, during the event, they presented a brief report on their activities during their tenure, and expressed their views on their future plans related to social activities.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the PA emphasized the Agency’s achievements and praised the personal contribution of Komil Allamjonov and Saida Mirziyoyeva to the implementation of democratic reforms in the media, protection of the rights of journalists and bloggers, increasing the effectiveness of interaction between government officials and the media. He wished them success in their future work.
It also became known that Dilshod Saidjanov has been appointed acting Director of the AIMC. He was appointed First Deputy Director of the agency in October 2019. Prior to that Saidjanov worked as head of the information policy department at the above agency.
