President condemns abuse of medical personnel in his address

In his address to the parliament, President Shavkat Mirziyoev drew attention to the widespread use of violence against doctors on social media.
“We need to strengthen the role of doctors in our society, enhance the image of our medical staff same as teachers, and change the way we treat them.
We read a lot about use of violence against them on social media. This is a situation that is totally incompatible with our mentality. It cannot be justified by anything.
Therefore, we must increase the status of doctors. Just as we do for teachers, we must work hard to create decent working conditions for medical personnel,” the President said.
For information, last month, an ambulance worker was attacked in Syrdarya, a doctor lost his eye sight due to the patient’s relatives in Namangan, and a nurse was beaten by a grandmother of a patient in Surkhandarya.
