President: Work of heads of executive bodies will be assessed depending on appeals of the population

From now onwards, work of heads of executive bodies will be assessed on the basis of analysis of appeals received in public reception offices. This was stated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his address to the new parliament.
“The ultimate goal of the new parliament should be to improve the living standards of people. In this regard, I would like to say to our deputies that it is necessary to develop specific programs and roadmaps to address the urgent issues raised by the population during the pre-election meetings and to fully implement them in cooperation with the competent authorities. Otherwise, you will not earn the voters’ respect, ultimately, the position of your party will fall.
A system of regular reporting of the heads of government agencies and khokims to the parliament and people’s councils on how these complaints are addressed will be introduced. Approval of additional revenues of local budgets, fair determination of beneficiaries and performance evaluation of heads of executive bodies will be assessed based on the analysis of appeals in public reception offices,” Shavkat Mirziyoev said.
According to the President, in order to improve the quality of governance, there is still a lot of work to be done to fully provide the basic principle that the state bodies should serve the people, not the vice versa. The fact that more than one million applications are received every year by Virtual and Public Reception Centers indicates the need to take the dialogue to a new level.
“Each deputy should work with public reception offices regularly and take an active part in addressing the problems of the population living on his territory, listening to people’s concerns. Then the deputies will fulfill the promises made to their voters. More importantly, they will win our people’s love. Then I would be very grateful to you, not only as a president, but as an ordinary voter,” the President said.
