Youth Union of Uzbekistan to be terminated, Agency for Youth Affairs will be created

The head of state spoke about the problems in the activities of the NGO and stated that Uzbekistan needs a state organization that will directly work with youth.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed creating an Agency for Youth Affairs on the basis of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan.

During the event, the President instructed the Prime Minister, Presidential Adviser and the Head of the Youth Union to prepare relevant documents within one month.

Kun.uz source in the Youth Union confirmed this information. Reportedly, the agency will be created under the Presidential Administration.

It should be recalled that the Youth Union of Uzbekistan was created in 2017, following the IV Congress of the Kamolot Youth Public Movement.
