IrAero airline launched flights between Moscow and Andijan.
After a long break, Andijan International Airport resumed its activities through the efforts of Uzbekistan Airports JSC.
In accordance with the permission received from the aviation authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on December 22, the Russian airline IrAero began to operate flights en route Moscow-Andijan-Moscow on aircraft Superjet-100.
Andijan airfield – one of the oldest transport hubs in the Fergana valley – was built in 1954. The last regular flight en route Andijan-Tashkent was carried out on a Boeing-757 aircraft in October 2018.
According to the airline, Uzbekistan Airports JSC, in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and the State Committee for Tourism Development, will continue to work actively to increase the number of flights to the country’s airports and expand the geography of flights in order to implement the tasks set by the government to attract foreign tourists to the republic.
IrAero, founded in 1999, is a Russian airline. It regularly carries out transportation throughout the territory of the Russian Federation and in neighboring countries.
