Alisher Kadirov: Membership in the EAEU will bring more minuses than pluses

Membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will bring more minuses than pluses for Uzbekistan. This was stated by chairman of the political party “Milliy tiklanish” Alisher Kadirov.
“At present, the issue of Uzbekistan’s joining the Eurasian Economic Union is being studied by a large expert group. Our party has decided to wait for the conclusion of experts,” he said during a CEC debate.
However, the party believes that membership in the Eurasian Economic Union will bring more minuses than pluses for Uzbekistan.
“Therefore, our party does not advocate membership in this union. But we support an open trade partnership with the union or observer status in this structure,” he concluded.
