Hollywood’s analogue Cinema City Sollywood to be built in Samarkand

The Sollywood cinema town will be built in the Aksay area of the Nurabad district (Samarkand region) by the American Daha USA Group and the Chinese Yiwu Compass Trading company.
“An area of 160 hectares has been allocated for realization of the project, and the town itself will be called Cinema City Sollywood. In addition to the pavilions for filming movies, modern 3- and 4-star hotels, restaurants and cafés, an amusement park, a water park, cinema and concert halls will also appear here,” the project’s author Khakimjon Mamasoliyev said.
In 2022, production of films will be launched at the main facilities of the town.
