PDPU leader still believes a family of five can easily live for 2.5 million soums per month

In the capital, a family of five can easily live for 2.5 million soums per month. The leader of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) Ulugbek Inoyatov announced again today at the CEC international press center.
“I insist on my opinion that 2.5 million soums per month is enough to cover food-related expenditures for a family of 5,” he said.
It should be recalled that on November 10, a talk show “Democratic debates” was organized among the political parties of Uzbekistan. Participants of the event discussed the consumer basket. Then Ulugbek Inoyatov said that in Tashkent, one breadwinner, receiving a salary of 2.5 million soums per month, could easily feed a family of five. At the same time, Ulugbek Inoyatov did not specify that it was only about foodstuffs.
“Economists have calculated this,” he said.
The statements of Ulugbek Inoyatov caused a heated discussion on social networks. Later, the head of the central council sector at the PDPU Ravshan Khomitov commented on the statement of Ulugbek Inoyatov.
“The leader of our political party Ulugbek Ilyasovich did not mean all expenses for one family. He expressed the opinion that 2.5 million soums will be enough for a family of five only for foodstuffs,” Khomitov noted.
