To discuss preparations for the upcoming consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states, foreign ministers of the region held a meeting in Tashkent on November 15, the MFA press service said.
Heads of the foreign affairs agencies of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, Kazakhstan - Mukhtar Tleuberdi, the Kyrgyz Republic - Chingiz Aidarbekov, Tajikistan - Sirojidin Mukhriddin and Turkmenistan - Rashid Meredov discussed the development of regional cooperation and the preparations for the summit.
During the meeting it was emphasized that at present in Central Asia, thanks to the political will of the heads of state, a fundamentally new atmosphere of friendship, cooperation and mutual trust has been formed.
The ministers noted with satisfaction the dynamic growth in trade turnover, the intensification of work on the development of transport and communication networks, the launch of new land and air routes connecting the countries of the region.
The parties considered the agenda of the upcoming November 29 consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states in Tashkent, which includes issues of trade, economic and investment cooperation, development of transport infrastructure, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian interaction.
