Russia may allocate an export loan for Uzbekistan’s NPP construction
The Russian government is ready to consider the allocation of an export loan for the Rosatom's NPP construction in Uzbekistan. This was reported to journalists by the First Deputy Chief of the Government Staff of Russia Sergey Prikhodko, TASS reports.

“As for the sources of financing, taking into account the significance of this project, the Russian government is ready to consider the issue of allocating a state export loan. Specific conditions will be discussed at negotiations between the finance ministries of Russia and Uzbekistan,” he said.
Prikhodko emphasized that the nuclear power plant construction project is strategic for Russian-Uzbek relations. Issues of contracting and financing are also under special control of the Russian government. Preliminary estimates of the NPP cost are available, and are subject to negotiations with Uzbek colleagues. “The prices of such projects are not publicized either before or after the conclusion of the contract,” the First Deputy Chief of the Government Staff of Russia stressed.
As the head of Rosatom Alexei Likhachev previously told reporters, all solutions for the NPP construction in Uzbekistan can be found before the end of this year.
