New terminal of Samarkand International Airport to be completed by 2022
The project of a new terminal for the Samarkand International Airport has been approved by the President, reported in the news program on the “Uzbekistan 24” TV channel.

“The design of the additional terminal will be a synthesis of the past and the present, meet international requirements and serve 600 passengers per hour,” the report said.
It should be reminded that in September 2019, during his visit to the Samarkand region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the local government to reconstruct the international airport, expand the airplane fleet and upgrade the radar system.
The complete reconstruction of the airborne is planned to be completed before the spring of 2022 - ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, which will be held in Samarkand.
