On October 14, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received in Baku the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade.
According to the presidential press service, during the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further strengthening interethnic harmony and religious tolerance, expanding interfaith dialogue and moral education of youth.
The head of our state noted with satisfaction the increasing level of international cooperation in these areas.
It was emphasized that joint efforts will effectively counter current challenges and threats, and will help to reveal to the world the true values and humanistic goals of the holy religion of Islam.
Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, in turn, emphasized the importance of the initiatives carried out by the President of Uzbekistan and noted the effectiveness of the steps taken to study and preserve the rich heritage of the Islamic world.
The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board also expressed readiness to continue active dialogue and cooperation in order to ensure peace, harmony, stability and prosperity of our countries and the entire region.
