In Tashkent, the 18th ministerial meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, responsible for foreign economic and foreign trade activities, was held.
The heads of delegations took note of the SCO Secretariat’s draft report on implementing the program of multilateral trade-economic cooperation and recommended submitting it in the prescribed manner for approval to the next meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State, which will be held on October 31 – November 1, in Tashkent.
In addition, the relevance of cooperation in such areas as trade and investment, transport and logistics, tourism, agriculture and industry, energy, information and communication technologies, spatial development, science, ecology and environmental protection was emphasized, the important role of promoting the interaction of states in these areas was noted.
