Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on Independence Day

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent greetings to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on the national holiday – Independence Day, the presidential press service said.
Independence Day is the main state holiday in Turkmenistan. It is celebrated annually on September 27, the date the country declared its independence from the USSR in 1991.
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, who share state borders, established diplomatic relations on January 8, 1993, through the exchange of notes.
