Ankara Mayor proposes naming one of the streets in Tashkent after Turkey’s capital

Khokim of Tashkent Jakhongir Artikhodjayev received the delegation of Turkey led by Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavash. The parties signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at bringing cooperation to a new level with a view to establish fraternal ties.
Jakhongir Artikhodjayev noted that the document is of great importance for long-term friendly relations between the two countries and two cities and will help strengthen and expand cooperation in the fields of economy, industry, urban planning, art, culture and tourism.
Mansur Yavash emphasized that there are currently three streets in Ankara called Uzbekistan, 12 streets called Tashkent, 8 - Samarkand, 11 - Bukhara, and suggested that one of the streets of Tashkent be named after Ankara.
The delegation led by the Mayor of Ankara Mansur Yavash also visited the sights of the city and got acquainted with the history, development and modernity of our capital.
