On September 13, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

According to the MFA press service, during the talks, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their development. Interaction within the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international and regional structures were also considered.

It was emphasized that within the course of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to the UAE on March 24-26 of the current year, trade, economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian relations strengthened between the parties.

The sides exchanged views on proposals on the timing and agenda of upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels.

At the end of the conversation, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on the successful completion of his fifteen-year activity, first as the Consul General and then the first UAE Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and expressed appreciation for his personal contribution to the development and strengthening of interaction between Uzbekistan and the UAE.

The ambassador, in turn, thanked the Uzbek side for assisting in his activities as the head of the UAE diplomatic mission in Tashkent.
