Base rate of electricity and natural gas consumption may be reduced
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution “On changing prices and tariffs for fuel and energy resources”.
According to the document, the government intends to reduce the base rate of electricity consumption from 300 to 250 kilowatts.
It should be recalled that according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On the phased change in prices and tariffs for fuel and energy resources”, from January 1, 2019, as an experiment in the Yunusabad district, Tashkent city, a basic rate of electrical energy consumption has been introduced.
Then the basic rate of consumption of electrical energy was 300 kilowatts in a month per subscriber. At the same time, the population within the aforementioned base rate had to pay at the established tariff, and above the base rate – with the use of a 1.2-fold increase to the established tariff.
“Take note of the positive results of the introduction in the Yunusabad district of the basic rate of consumption of electric energy by the population per subscriber,” the document says.
Now the basic rate of consumption of electrical energy will be 250 kilowatts. In addition, the population above the base rate will pay a monthly fee with the use of a 1.5-fold increase to the established tariff.
