The national airline company Uzbekistan Airways plans to sell its six airliners. The company representatives reported to Kun.uz about it.
“The list of aircrafts prepared for sale includes two Boeing 767, two Boeing 757 and another two Boeing 767, modified from passenger to cargo transportation,” the company said.
According to representatives, the NAC intends to restructure its operations and update the fleet, which has been operating for more than 20 years. In addition, the company intends to purchase a new A320 aircraft.
It also became known that the NAC does not plan to sell its “Dreamliners”.
“There is no final decision yet. Perhaps we will sell the aircraft under the terms of sale and leaseback,” a representative said.
Earlier, the mass media reported that the NAC Uzbekistan Airways is preparing to sell its eight airliners after it was unable to pay off its growing debts.
