Tashkent city administration and Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed an agreement to provide advisory services on transfer of the heat supply system of Tashkent to the management of a foreign company on conditions of long-term lease, the press service of the city administration reports.
As an exclusive consultant to the city administration on project agreements, the bank will hold a tender to evaluate the proposals of foreign companies. In accordance with the law on public-private partnerships and on the basis of proposals received, ADB will select the most suitable foreign company and control the process of signing an agreement with SUE Tashissiqquvvati.
The main objective of this project is the modernization and reconstruction of heat networks, the elimination of existing gaps in the industry and the use of foreign IT technologies.
The project will be carried out with a wide involvement of foreign investors in the municipal sector of Tashkent and using modern methods of managing the heat supply system, which, in turn, will make life more comfortable for citizens.
