Two changes are expected at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan. In addition to the transfer of fundamental researches to the budget, a new council and the Youth Academy will be established. A presidential advisor on science, education, health and sports Abdujabbor Abduvakhidov told about it at the International Press Club.
He pointed out that the Council for Science and Technology defines these areas.
“Young people can work harder in robotics, mechatronics, artificial intelligence and others. The average age of academics is now 77. These teachers need young people. Young scientists have a lot to do with their teachers,” he said.
Also, the head of the department at Ministry of Innovative Development Olim Tuychiev briefed about the creation of the Youth Academy.
“There are more than 22,000 young scientists engaged in scientific activities in our country. It should be noted that 69 research projects are in progress. Their total cost is over 3.5 billion soums.
The Youth Academy is primarily organized to gather small-scale development projects carried out independently, and to create a truly modern platform for them. And, being aligned with the present-day ongoing scientific researches, it provides opportunities for new research that meets today’s needs,” he said.
According to him, this will enable to explore new industries such as 3D modeling, robotics, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, and so on, which are currently in demand in the real economic sector.
“The Youth Academy is planned to be established on four platforms. This is mainly intended to create new era of scientists. The first platform is a generator of ideas, the second – a startup, a young businessman engaged in business – an innovative entrepreneur, and a platform for future academics,” Olim Tuychiyev said.
