Gov't decision on building electric express railroad in Tashkent to be adopted

On the portal of discussion of draft normative-legal acts, a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to provide sand-gravel materials for the construction of electric express double-track railway in Tashkent” has been placed. 

The document may be adopted in order to ensure implementation of the presidential resolution PP-2979 “On construction of the aerial metro line in the city of Tashkent” of May 19, 2017 and resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №981 “On the order of involvement of business entities through online auction for cleaning works of river watercourses” of December 3, 2018.

According to the resolution, the SUE “Safe river” under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, jointly with the unitary trust enterprise “Kuprikkurilish” under the JSC Uzbekistan Railways, may be allowed to make a direct agreement on ensuring safe passage of flood waters and mud flows, digging sand-gravel materials while clearing river basins in accordance with the list of areas determined by the government commission to reduce the risk of snowfalls and landslides.

The State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources jointly with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, within the framework of the project, shall develop a list of river areas for the production of sand-gravel and submit to the Commission for approval.

State unitary enterprise “Safe river” under the Ministry of Emergency Situations jointly with the State Committee on Ecology and Environment Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources will be entrusted to provide digging of sand-gravel materials for cleaning river watercourses and in parallel to develop and adopt the project documents.

The unitary trust enterprise “Kuprikkurilish” ensures efficient and targeted use of sand-gravel materials produced.
