Deputy PM Abdukhakimov meets UAE officials to discuss improving efficiency of public administration system in Uzbekistan

Second session of the Uzbek-Emirate Intergovernmental Program entitled “Improving the Efficiency of the Public Administration System” kicked off in the UAE on May 6, 2019, Kun.uz correspondent reported.

The project is designed to ensure closer cooperation of state institutions of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, become acquainted with UAE’s experience in efficient public administration system and adapt a unique model of policies for our republic.

The meeting was opened by the UAE’s Minister of Cabinet and Future Affairs Mohammed Al Gergawi and the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov.

On behalf of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Governor of the Emirate of Dubai, Al Gergawi congratulated all the people of Uzbekistan and the President on the first day of Ramadan.
 
Sheikh Al Maktoum instructed to provide the Uzbek delegation with all the necessary assistance during their stay in the Emirates and achieve practical results under the program “Improving the Efficiency of the Public Administration System”.
 
Following the official welcoming remarks, the delegates split into 16 groups in the following areas: government accelerator, national strategy, tax administration, improvement of the business environment, dry port and others.

Under the partnership, the two countries seek to facilitate exchange of experience, expertise and development models in government work, as well as application of best practices in the fields of government and smart services, institutional performance, innovation and excellence, leadership and capacity building.

The meetings and technical workshops of the Uzbek-Emirate Intergovernmental Program “Improving the Efficiency of the Public Administration System” will last until May 9.
