On April 15-21, 2019, the JSC Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX) made deals worth 1.05 trillion soums. It was higher by 6.7% than the previous week's results. The total volume of transactions with small businesses and enterprises has grown by 23% and amounted to 519.8 billion soums, the press service of the UZEX said.
In particular, the volume of exchange trades increased from 874.1 billion soums to 939.2 billion soums. Almost $2.1 million worth of goods were sold through the currency trading platform. Leadership in exports was occupied by cotton fiber with 93% performance. The rest of the export market was occupied by polyethylene (5%) and oil (2%).
Moreover, during the period under review, 728 vehicle number plates were sold through an online auction. The total number of sold state registration number plates amounted to 2.9 billion soums.
First category registration plates, which are sometimes referred as golden numbers, brought about 20% of the total income, while second (51%) and third (29%) category numbers made up the rest.
