Shavkat Mirziyoyev departs for China

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping, departed for Beijing on April 24 on a working visit.
The head of our state will take part in the second International Forum “One Belt, One Road,” the presidential press service said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zhanshu. It is planned to discuss topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership, as well as regional and international matters.
The forum is expected to be attended by more than 40 heads of state and government of foreign countries, international and regional organizations. The agenda includes issues of further deepening economic cooperation, enhancing collaboration in finding new sources of long-term growth, promoting a green economy and innovation, as well as implementing priority infrastructure projects in the region.
