The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and the Cultural and Tourist Center Uzbegim in the Czech Republic organized a meeting with compatriots living there.
The meeting was held in the Uzbek national restaurant “Samarkand” in Prague and was attended by over 50 compatriots, as well as representatives of major travel companies.
During the meeting, a presentation was held on tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan, various types of tourism the country offers and the measures taken to develop the sphere.
In addition, issues related to increasing the role of our compatriots in promoting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan abroad and establishing cooperation with them were discussed in detail.
As part of the event, the Uzbek diaspora in the Czech Republic carried out an action on placing car stickers on personal vehicles reflecting the tourist brand of Uzbekistan with contact information, and also distributed various handouts about the tourism potential of our country.
“I am very pleased with our meeting today, because, being far from our homeland, we would like to contribute to its development. The Czech people are very interested in the rich culture, history, traditions and national cuisine of Uzbekistan. I try to provide them with as much information as possible.
At today's meeting, I was pleased to receive handouts that reflect the tourism potential of our country. We agreed with the State Committee on the further implementation of various projects aimed at developing the tourism sector of Uzbekistan,” said our compatriot Sardor Saliyev.
Within the framework of the Committee’s visit to the Czech Republic, meetings were held with representatives of a number of travel companies, during which information on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was provided. Following the meetings, Czech companies noted their willingness to promote the popularization of our country's tourist brand in the Czech Republic.
“We are actively cooperating with the State Committee for Tourism Development, including the implementation of joint projects with Czech tourism companies to boost the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in the Czech Republic. As part of these projects, we will ensure the wide participation of our compatriots, mobilize their opportunities and efforts, and also promote the tourism sector of Uzbekistan in the Czech media,” said Ulugbek Uktamov, head of the cultural and tourist center Uzbegim.
