Silk Road International Tourism University, Dresden University of Applied Sciences to co-op in training tourism personnel

Silk Road International Tourism University and Dresden University of Applied Sciences (HTW Dresden) inked a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at developing multilateral cooperation, sharing practical experience, developing joint projects and research.

The signing of the MoU took place within the framework of Uzbek delegation’s visit to Germany.

According to the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan, during the meeting with students of HTW Dresden, U. Saidov, the head of department of the State Committee for Tourism Development, informed about changes in the tourism sector of Uzbekistan, simplification of the visa regime and abolition of visas for citizens of EU countries, investment opportunities, rich cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan, as well as developing youth tourism.

The German side expressed its readiness to cooperate with the Silk Road International Tourism University, particularly in exchange of students and experience, participation in joint research, as well as in preparing a marketing strategy to promote the tourism brand of Uzbekistan in Germany.
