Taking into consideration the need of citizens to attend the Umrah pilgrimage, Uzbekistan Airways will launch additional flights. This was reported by the press service of the Tashkent city administration.

At the Tashkent city administration, a roundtable meeting dedicated to the preservation and development of national and religious values was held. It was acknowledged that the facility being introduced in our country is an important factor in raising the wellbeing of the population, bringing gratefulness to the atmosphere of tranquility and tolerance. In particular, the issues of organizing the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages of citizens were discussed.

It was announced that additional flights will be launched in cooperation with the national airline company Uzbekistan Airways taking into account the growing demand for attending Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages by citizens of the republic. 

At the meeting, it was noted that the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan creates all necessary conditions for the convenience of our compatriots.

For information: This year, over 16,000 citizens of Uzbekistan completed Umrah pilgrimage. Of these, more than 2,500 people visited from Tashkent city.

During the Umrah visit, experienced religious employees are serving pilgrims as group leaders. The pilgrims are provided with medical care, comfortable hotels and hot meals three times a day. Transport issues have been fully resolved in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Organization of citizens’ Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages is carried out in accordance with the Regulation approved by the resolution №364 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to further improve organization and conduct of Hajj and Umrah events” adopted on June 7, 2017 and Resolution №1031 of December 28, 2017.
