The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on holding Republican contests "Performers of folk instruments", "National dance performers" named after Mukarrama Turgunboeva and "Young maqom performers" named after Yunus Rajabiy was adopted.

The document says that according to the Resolution PQ-4038 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On approval of the concept of further development of national culture in the Republic of Uzbekistan" dated November 28, 2018, republican contests "Performers of folk instruments", "National dance performers" named after Mukarrama Turgunboeva and "Young maqom performers" named after Yunus Rajabiy will be held traditionally.

The followings have been approved:

Regulation on the procedure for organization and holding of the republican contest "Performers of folk instruments";

Regulation on the procedure for organization and carrying out of republican competition of the national dance performers named after Mukarrama Turgunbaeva;

The regulation on organization and carrying out of the republican contest of young maqom singers named after Yunus Rajabiy.

It was determined that costs related to organization and holding these contests shall be covered at the expense of the following sources:

Budgetary funds allocated to the Ministry of Culture in the parameters of the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Funds of the foundation for development of culture and art under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

donations from individuals and legal entities;

other sources not prohibited by the legislation.

At the same time, prize money to the winners of the contest will be covered at the expense of the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan is responsible for organizing and conducting the competitions.

In accordance with an order of the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Art of Uzbekistan produces sketches of statuettes for special logos and award winners of competitions.
