Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to fundamentally improve the system of freight and passenger traffic”.

The document was adopted in order to further improve the organization of transport services, create a competitive environment and favorable conditions for the activities of carriers of all forms of ownership, as well as increase the transport and transit potential of the republic.

According to the document, in 2019, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were instructed to take measures to reduce the passage of heavy and oversized vehicles through the Kamchik pass, including by creating conditions for business entities on the use of alternative bypass corridors in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
