Taxis to be permitted to stop at the road mark “Stop forbidden”

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has signed a decree “On measures to radically improve the cargo and passenger transportation system”.
According to the document, from April 1, 2019, the state duty for approval of the lease agreement between legal entities and individuals will be reduced by two times more than the actual rate.
The Ministry of Transport jointly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Customs Committee and the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan will provide establishment of the single interactive information system “UzTrans” by July 1, 2019.
Starting from July 1, 2019, the following order will be established:
payment terminals, timer meter and radio equipment, which are required for taxi services, can be replaced by devices with special applications (mobile phones, tablets, electronic payment systems), which provide replacement equipment;
allowing operating taxis without the need to paint with the use of self-adhesive materials required by legislation;
passenger cars used as itinerary taxis and equipped with single sign of exterior or interior decoration, may be operated through the special pathway of itinerary vehicles as well as may stop at the road mark “Stop forbidden”;
application for obtaining a foreign/multilateral authorization for international road haulage is reviewed within one working day from the date of receipt.
Earlier, it was reported that from July 1 onwards, a number of requirements would be canceled.
