ADB provides graduate and postgraduate scholarships for Uzbek citizens

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), together with the Government of Japan, offers 150 ADB-JSP scholarships to graduate and postgraduate students who want to study at universities in the Asia-Pacific region. The scholarship is paid for studying in developmental specialties: economics, management, science, technology, etc.

The scholarship provides:

•  full tuition fee;
•  monthly stipend;
•  accommodation;
•  textbooks and study materials;
•  transportation expenses;
•  medical insurance.

In special cases, preparatory courses may be paid (language learning, computer programs). It is also possible to get an additional grant to pay for a research project.

Stipend is paid for one year, upon having successful training it can be extended. A stipend can be paid for a master's degree within two years, for a postgraduate study – during three years.

Requirements:

•  to be a citizen of one of the ADB partner countries (including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan);
•  to be no older than 35 years (for some programs – 45 years);
•  to have a bachelor's degree or equivalent;
•  to have excellent academic performance.

To get a scholarship, one must be enrolled in the master's or graduate school of one of the partner universities of the scholarship program. On admission, one must indicate that the candidate is applying for an ADB-JSP scholarship. The application is submitted no later than six months before the expected start of training, along with a package of documents for enrollment.

While applying for a scholarship, one must submit the latest tax declaration, which must indicate the candidate's income for the last year. It is also necessary to submit documentation of family income (income of parents).

After graduation, students will have to return to their homeland and make a contribution to the economic and social development of their country.
