Uzbekistan and the International Labor Organization (ILO) are concluding a roadmap of cooperation, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
“Director of the ILO Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Olga Kulayeva is currently in Uzbekistan on a working visit. The goal of her visit is to approve a roadmap for interaction and cooperation of the International Labor Organization with Uzbekistan,” the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations said.
The draft document contains 43 points, including development of a new version of the Labor Code, new version of the Law “On employment of the population”, entry of Uzbekistan into the international association WorldSkills, implementation of a number of ILO conventions into national legislation, preparation of the National Employment Strategy and others.
The ILO delegation visited the Ministry of Labor the day before, where they met with Minister Sherzod Kudbiyev to consult on the draft roadmap.
Presentation of the approved document to the public and the media is expected shortly.
