An automobile plant GM Uzbekistan in Andijan will soon have changed its name. This was announced by the acting deputy chairman of the JSC Uzavtosanoat for technical policy and localization Azizbek Shukurov, Kun.uz correspondent reports. 
 
According to him, now the company's management is closely involved in this issue and this should be resolved in a few months. After that, the name of the company will be further reported. 
 
He also said that one of the priority areas in 2019 is to improve the quality of products and service levels. Thus, in order to keep vehicles in the best technical condition, as well as strengthen customer confidence, the company will extend the warranty period for new cars from February 1, 2019 onwards. So, now it is 3 years or up to 100,000-kilometer mileage (previously – 1 year or 20,000 kilometers). 
 
It is worth recalling that in 2018, the company produced 220,667 cars. The record for the first time in the history of the company was broken in December last year – 34 117 cars were produced.
