Director General of the Moscow techno-park “Rikor” becomes head of the FEZ “Navoi”

The head of the Moscow techno-park “Rikor” Khabib Abdullayev was appointed a new director of the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) “Navoi”, Kun.uz correspondent reports.

Mr. Abdullayev graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (1989) and the National Research University “Higher School of Economics” (2012).

He served as the head of the department for working with residents of OJSC “Special Economic Zones” of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. He has 25 years of managerial experience in enterprises of the Ministry of the Russian Press, Joint-Stock Financial Corporation “Sistema” and others.

In addition, he is a chairman of the Uzbek national-cultural autonomy of Moscow and publisher of the newspaper “Uzbegim”.

For information, the FEZ “Navoi” is located on a total area of 564 hectares near the city of Navoi and 100-175 km far from Bukhara and Samarkand. It was established in March 2017.

The zone has a special legal regime, including tax, currency and customs regimes, a simplified procedure for entry, stay and departure, as well as obtaining work permits for non-resident citizens, extensive exemptions on taxes, customs and other obligatory payments.

Furthermore, the FEZ “Navoi” is located in close proximity to the international airport. The E-40 motorway and international railways facilitate the most effective use of the advantages of the multimodal transportation-logistics hub of Navoi.
