President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a program of measures to improve the activities of the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation for training specialists abroad and dialogue with compatriots living outside the country. The corresponding decree is published on the portal Lex.uz.
In particular, the head of state instructed the ministries and departments of the republic to submit to the Foreign Ministry and the “El-Yurt Umidi Foundation” a list of highly qualified specialists living abroad, who previously worked in power structures.
In accordance with the decree, competitive selection of candidates for training, advanced training and internships of personnel abroad at the expense of the fund is carried out on the basis of targeted orders of ministries and departments in the areas of education, science and research, health and public administration.
In addition, the Uzbek president's new decision proposes to broaden media coverage of all reforms being implemented in the country.
As reported earlier, education and training of at least 4000 people abroad will be funded by the Foundation in 2019-2021.
