In accordance with the data of Ministry of Interior, Colonel Bakhtiyor Pormonov became the head of the Main Directorate of the patrol service and protection of public order at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It should be recalled that on August 4, 2018, the corpse of the former head of the patrol service, Lieutenant Colonel Dilshod Akramov was found in his office on the second floor of the Ministry. On this fact, the prosecutor's office of Tashkent city initiated a criminal case under article 97 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The suspect in the murder of the chief was detained and imprisoned. It turned out to be a senior inspector of the Department for the Prevention of Offenses at the Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent city R. Abdullayev.

Reportedly, on December 19, an international press club held a press conference with the participation of law enforcement officials. During the event, journalists asked law enforcement officials to comment on the investigation of the murder of Lieutenant Colonel Dilshod Akramov.

“The investigation is being conducted on the basis of certain norms. I do not have information at what stage the investigation is now. But I know that investigations are currently underway. I think that when the case reaches to court, all interested parties will be able to get information,” Deputy Prosecutor General Erkin Yuldashev said.
