In Uzbekistan, the ratio of the number of candidates to the number of available job places almost remained within the normal range throughout 2018, with the exception of May and December, the HeadHunter’s review states.
In May, there was a deficiency of candidates and in December, on the contrary – the number of CVs prevailed. Currently, there are 9 claimants for 1 job. This is due to the fact that many applicants are planning to change jobs in 2019.
The HeadHunter Index is an indicator of the shortage of specialists in the labor market. It is calculated as the ratio of the number of candidates to the number of available job places for a certain period of time. Values from 1 to 4 are normal for the market; values from 4 to 6 – an alarming indicator, when there are more than 6 resumes per job the situation is critical.
The competition has significantly increased not only among specialists in the professional fields “Career beginners, Students”, but also among specialists applying for public service, as well as among specialists in the “top management” sphere.
The demand is insignificant in “Domestic personnel” and “Raw materials extraction” fields compared to 2017.
There is a noticeable lack of candidates in professional areas, such as “Sales”, “Security”, “Marketing, advertising, PR”, “Arts, entertainment, mass media”, “Medicine, pharmaceuticals” and “Insurance”. In other professions, the indicators are within the normal range.
