The Uzbek Government has adopted the resolution “On additional measures for the implementation of the concept of ensuring Traffic Safety in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2018-2022”, channel Legal Info reports.

In compliance with the document, investors and entrepreneurs will be provided the followings on the basis of public-private partnership:

- roads and land plots for construction of paid highways;

- road sections for the introduction of identification of the face and vehicle’s state registration number using closed-circuit TV cameras - for the period of up to 10 years;

- road parcels for construction of paid parking lots - for the period of up to 10 years;

- building modern paid parking lots with data systems, indicating the violation of the rules of payment for the placement of vehicles on the basis of temporary storage places of automotive vehicles located in adjacent markets and trade complexes for - for the period of up to 10 years;

- parking lots for infrastructure, including camping, motels, rest areas for drivers and passengers , other places for maintaining and repairing transports,  petrol stations - for the period of up to 10 years.

Additionally, no more than 30 % of the proceeds from the use of paid parking lots and paid parking places fall into the local budget, and at least 70 % will be credited to the account of a private partner.

At least 20 % of the fine for violating traffic rules detected by installed closed-circuit TV cameras is transferred to the state budget, 20 % to the local budget, 30 % to the non-budget fund of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and no more than 30 % to the account of a private partner.
