In Thailand, during the “Open Eurasian Literature Festival & Book Forum”, the winners of the “Open Eurasia 2018” competition were presented awards. Two authors from Uzbekistan were also listed among the winners.
Poetess Hosiyat Rustamova received one of the festival’s additional cash prizes - the “Butterfly’s Song Award”. This reward has been established by Ermek Amanshaev’s creative studio in the amount of $ 1,000 for the first place in the “Poetry” sub-category. A poet, writer and playwright Narkuchkar Norkobilov for his story "”Un sakkizga kirmagan men bor” (“I am the one under 18”) was awarded a diploma of the Association of World Generals for peace.
Guests of the festival were also presented the book of the Uzbek poetess Dildora Tulyaganova “Imitating the Sufis”. The poetess became a laureate for the prize under the name of Sora Eshonturayeva in the amount of $ 3000 in 2016. The premium is awarded for the best literary work on the theme of civic position.
The festival was organized by the Eurasian creative guild (London) and the British publishing house “Hertfordshire Press”. It is already the seventh time it has been organized throughout the year. In 2018, 800 applications from 33 states were submitted to the competition, including 46 applications from Uzbekistan.
