Uzbekistan to take part in “Eurasian week” in Yerevan

Representatives of Uzbekistan will take part in the Eurasian Week International Forum, which starts on Monday, October 22, in Yerevan. This is reported on the website of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

“Eurasian Week is the largest international business forum in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). It will be held in Yerevan on October 22-24. The focus of the “Eurasian Week 2018 ″ is to create a favorable business climate in the territory of the Union countries, strengthen production ties, develop export potential, and create attractive conditions for foreign investors,” the report says.

The event will be attended by about 2.500 participants and more than 150 speakers, including vice-premiers and government ministers, heads of state corporations and business representatives of the EAEU member states.

Participants from Russia, Armenia, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Georgia, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, China, Lithuania, Moldova, Nigeria, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, Tajikistan, Switzerland, Qatar, France, Argentina, Spain and Ukraine are expected to visit the Forum.

The program includes over 30 discussion events.

Among the global topics are “Technological breakthrough and potential opportunities of the EAEU countries”, “External economic activity of the EAEU as a source of economic growth and a factor of sustainability in business development”, “Using the integration potential of the EAEU for the development of building materials industry”.

There will also be round tables on the topics: “Improving the provisions of the Treaty on the EAEU in the field of technical regulation” and “Digital traceability in the EAEU: prospects for development”. In addition, within the framework of the forum, the final of the innovative projects competition “Eurasian digital platforms” will be held.

For the first time, an exhibition will be organized as part of the forum at which export-oriented companies of the Union from various sectors of the economy will be represented.
