The document envisages providing 300 million euros to support several projects, including improvement of the water supply and sanitation sphere, energy and hydropower, introduction of energy-saving and energy-efficient technologies using alternative energy resources, agriculture, private sector support, environmental protection and sustainable resource management in Uzbekistan.
Another important document signed at the meeting is Partnership Agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency (FDA) on the implementation of the cooperation program for 2018-2021.
The objective of this agreement is to identify promising areas of cooperation in the field of investment activities between FDA and the government of Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of this document, 600 million euros will be allocated to funding projects in Uzbekistan in 2018-2021.
The agreements will create favorable conditions for joint investment activities, which, in turn, will lead to development of mutually beneficial investment and economic ties, as well as strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and France.
