The Tashkent Enterprise Polaris Technologies is planning to launch the production of large-capacity refrigerators in the next weeks.

The project’s total cost exceeds $1.2 million. It is scheduled to produce up to 30,000 refrigerators at the new facilities by the end of 2016. At its full capacity, the enterprise will produce nearly 50,000 items annually. Commercial and showcase large-capacity refrigerators will make up the bulk of the output.

The Uzbek electrical engineering industry intends to significantly increase its presence in the local market by the end of 2016. For instance, the share of domestic refrigerators will increase by 4.6% to 32.5%, air-conditioners - by 8.6% - to 37.2%, TV sets - by 6.5% - to 60.1%.
